Donation Terms & Transparency Policy
1. Who we are
Ukraine Hope is a volunteer-led humanitarian fundraising initiative operated by KURS-TRADE LIMITED (Company No. 14626776), registered in England and Wales. Ukraine Hope is not a registered charity and donations are not eligible for Gift Aid through this initiative.
2. Purpose of funds
Future donations are intended to support civilians affected by the war in Ukraine, especially those who are displaced or have lost their homes. Intended assistance includes food, drinking water, medicines, hygiene and other essential supplies, and emergency shelter needs. Funds are not intended for weapons, military operations or political campaigns.
3. Who receives funding
Funding may support appropriately verified humanitarian organisations, community groups or eligible individuals, where lawful. Recipients will be assessed before money is transferred, including reasonable identity, purpose and sanctions checks. No particular organisation is represented as an appointed beneficiary unless expressly announced.
4. Costs and deductions
The organisers initially pay for the website and promotional materials themselves, and volunteers do not receive fundraising salaries. When donations begin, reasonable and documented payment processing, banking, currency conversion, transfer, printing, distribution and essential operating costs may be deducted, provided they are transparently disclosed to donors before payment. There is no fixed percentage reserved for costs. The gross donated amount should not be assumed to reach beneficiaries in full.
5. Records and transparency
Donations received, authorised expenses and outgoing payments will be recorded in the accounting records maintained by KURS-TRADE LIMITED. Supporting records may include transaction references, invoices, receipts, bank confirmations and recipient acknowledgements. Ukraine Hope intends to publish periodic aggregated fundraising and activity reports when operations commence.
6. Restricted donations and alternative use
Where donations are expressly restricted to a particular purpose, those restrictions will be respected. If the original purpose becomes impracticable, alternative use will depend on the donation terms, donor conditions and applicable law; funds cannot simply be redirected at will. We will provide more detailed arrangements before accepting campaign-specific restricted donations.
7. Refunds and payment errors
Once donations begin, refund requests for duplicate, mistaken or unauthorised payments may be submitted to kurstrade.info@gmail.com. Requests will be considered individually under applicable law and payment provider rules. Nothing in these terms removes statutory or payment dispute rights.
8. Recurring contributions
If recurring donations are introduced, the amount, payment frequency and cancellation process will be shown before confirmation. Cancelling recurring payments will normally stop future scheduled charges but will not automatically reverse prior payments.
9. Privacy and publication
Donor data will be managed under our Privacy Policy. Personal donor information will not automatically appear on public reports. We will ask separately before naming or recognising donors publicly.
10. Complaints and changes
Questions, donation complaints or concerns about funds may be sent to kurstrade.info@gmail.com. We will record and consider complaints and respond without unnecessary delay. Updated terms will be dated on this website and will not retroactively override legally binding restrictions on prior donations.
